iPod Device Support Bug while sync doubles songs
Apparently the sync on the iPod Device support has a bug. When you sync it with all your songs including library and playlists, the songs from the playlists add on to the songs of the library. This creates a double version of (and clones) the song

Inappropriate? We've tried to reproduce this problem using a couple of different iPods on a Windows XP machine, but we didn't see any duplicates. Could you tell me a little bit more about your setup? We'd like to know:
1. what iPod you're using,
2. what OS you're running,
3. what version of Songbird you have (check the About Songbird window) and
4. what version of the iPod Device Support Add-on you have (check under Tools -> Add-ons).
Thanks!

Inappropriate?I'm using the ipod nano. The newest generation (5th i think). Basically i'm running vista and that might be why you cant reproduce it. I currently have Songbird v0.6.1. I have ipod device support v3.0.6.

Inappropriate?Have same problem, but I'm using an ipod classic (silver/80GB/vidscreen, also relatively new) with ubuntu 8.04 linux. My songbird version is 0.6.1.
Every time I sync it creates another copy of all playlisted songs on my ipod...
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? This sounds very similar to this bug, which was marked as working correctly many months ago.
@jamie (and anyone else who has had this problem recently): Just in case there is some difference I am missing, I will go ahead and create a new bug report; but before I do, please let me know what version of Songbird you are running, as well as the version of the iPod Device Support Add-on you are using. Thanks. -
songbird 1.0 rc3 and the latest ipod device support add-on, which i believe is 3.0.10.860 -

Inappropriate?similar case here. I use ubuntu and an ipod 6th generation 80gb. but only some songs appear twice on my device. doesn't seem to me that's because these songs are also in a playlist.
