Songbird's saving grace is definitely that it connects to an iPod. and everything else works really well.

Inappropriate?it would be much better if the iPod library would transfer INTO Songbird, rather than simply listing and playing them... Is there any hope for that?
I’m a newbie to Songbird

Inappropriate? Not sure what you are asking for here. Could you explain in greater detail? Maybe provide the steps you would perform and the expected results.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate? No that's just the way iPods are set up. Apple made them so you can only upload songs to the device. It's only one way to deter people from file sharing. So you'll have to back up your files to get around that
-
Inappropriate? The problem is that media file heirarchy on iPods is scrambled. You will see what I mean if you try to browse for your files in a file browser. This is just part of how Apple tries to lock people into using iTunes.
While we probably could have bidirectional support for iPods, it would likely be done through an addon (supplementary to iPod Device Support perhaps). This would not be a trivial task.
Thanks for the suggestion. -
Inappropriate?Shitty iPods.

Guess what iPod I have:

I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?WARNING: We do not support devices which have been "hacked". While the device may very well work (we have reports to that effect), we cannot possibly support any problems you may have with these devices.
