Is it possible to import from iTunes, then uninstall iTunes?
I noticed iTunes wants me to uninstall it before I upgrade to Windows 7. iTunes is not cooperating, and won't allow me to back up a good portion of my library (for whatever reason, I don't know?) Would it be possible to import the library into Songbird, then uninstall iTunes and still have all my music in Songbird?
Or by uninsalling iTunes would I be messing up Songbird's metadata and creating a big mess?
Just trying to find a way to get all my music to stay on my comp before I upgrade to W7 without having to re upload EVERYTHING.
Thanks

Inappropriate? To confusing of a question perhaps?
I'll try and reclarify: If I import iTunes library into Songbird, are the files in Songbird still attached to iTunes? Or can I alter iTunes (uninstall) and still have working Songbird files? -
Inappropriate? In short, you should be good to go.
Once you import your iTunes library, the tracks in Songbird are linked to their actual file location, not the iTunes library xml itself. If you are importing just once(then uninstalling iTunes) just make sure you uncheck the Import options after you import into Songbird, so it doesn't try to import a bad/non-existent Library.
