Is Songbird compatable with the Airport Express?
Apple state that iTunes is required to use the Airport Express. Does Songbird have this functionality? If not is it on the to-do-eventually list?

Inappropriate?I'd love to see Airport Express support in Songbird, too! In the meantime, for those of you who are on Windows or Macs and have $25 to burn, you could use something like Rogue Amoeba's program Airfoil to accomplish the same thing: http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/
Not free, and not integrated into Songbird, but it'll do for some :) -

Inappropriate?I haven't tried it out myself, though I'm planning to in the near future. I have a slightly different problem: I have a server that I want to host my music and video from, and I would like to be able to stream it to an Airport Express. I have to solve the server problem first :)

They offer a free trial, so you can figure out whether it works before you put down any cash. -

Inappropriate?I've been using Songbird + Airfoil for some time now, and it works wonderfully. (Mac 10.5) Definitely worth the $25 for Airfoil, Rogue Amoeba does good work.
FYI, There's a small hiccup that can occur with the playback for Sb, which is easily fixed using the method lined out in this post:

Inappropriate?Airfoil is a solution, but an integrated feature would be the shizzle, because it would make Songbird the no. 1 player for many and the Linux dudes would appriciate it since Airfoil don't work on Linux (yet).

Inappropriate?It looks like someone has managed to do with with Amarok, so the same method might work with Songbird (???). I haven't tried it, as I don't have an Airport Express device yet, but here's the link with instructions:
