is there a way to manually "refresh" songs info in library ?
i have a library with songs in it.
now i have used an external software (ID3-Tag it) to change couple of songs id3 tags (this way i can mass edit a complete album id3 tags)
is there a way for songbird to refresh it's database other than removing the files and importing them again to the library ?
something simple as selecting songs from the list and push the refresh button ?

Inappropriate?Nope. Sorry to disappoint you. It isn't possible right now.
The next release, slated for a February release contains the ability to watch folders for changes. That, hopefully, will too look for changes in the tracks you have.
In Songbird 1.0 though? No.
You'll have to delete the tracks and re-import them.

Inappropriate?I too would like to refresh the ID3 data. I'm using Songbird 1.1.2, Build 1042, and I still have this problem.
Here is how it happens: I have a watched folder on a shared drive from another machine. When I copy a new MP3 file into that folder while Songbird is running, it commonly only displays the file name leaving out all the ID3 info.
Here is what I *think* might be happening... Since network copies can take a while to complete, I suspect that Songbird is notified that the folder has changed prior to the file copy completing. Songbird then attempts to read the ID3 info before the copy completes, while the file is still locked, so it fails and assumes there is no ID3 data.
If the above is true, then I suspect that the right solution would be to teach Songbird to wait for the file to become unlocked. But, for all the media that are already entered wrong, it would still be nice to have a new "Refresh ID3" feature in the context menu.
