Issues with syncing songs onto an IPod.
When I upload a song into my IPod, the song shows up on the IPod but do not play at all when chosen. I think it has something to do with the format of the files, but I do not know what to do about that.

Inappropriate?Hi biwibob!
To help you with this I'm going to need a bit more information.
• What OS are you using?
• What version of songbird are we talking about?
• What model of ipod is it? (model/generation)
• Is it correct understood that you can see the songs on your ipod when not
connected to a computer, but do not play? If so it's most likely that the songs
aren't even there... But first i need you to answer my questions so I can help you
further.
This should have an easy solution.
I’m pretty sure about this

Inappropriate?- I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition.
- Songbird is version 0.6.1
- The model is definitely one of the classics, that's all I can really be certain about.
- And yes, after I disconnect the IPod from the computer the songs show up as being in it, however the moment I try to play said song it goes right back to the menu options without playing.
I’m thankfully confident

Inappropriate?I've searched the forum for some info, and this is what i came up with
Your songs don't work because they have no playtime ( i.e you haven't played them in songbird yet)

or another possibility:
Your songs end with capitalized letters (i.e .MP3 instead of .mp3)

Let's hope either one of them solves your problem, otherwise write back and I'll dig deeper for a solution.
I’m touching wood
