iTune-style shuffle song list possible?
Is there any way to get songbird to randomize the song order when you click shuffle while viewing a playlist, like in iTunes? I use this all the time in iTunes, and I would really love to have it in Songbird!

I have never used Party Shuffle in iTunes, so that's not what I'm talking about. I would try out the Party Shuffle addon, but apparently it is not compatible with 1.0rc3 -

Inappropriate?ya, my car has an ipod connection, but the car stereo doesn't have a random function. so i NEED the playlist to be randomized when i load it to the ipod.
that involves randomizing the playlist order withing songbird (or itunes). its the only reason that i have not switched over to songbird yet.1 Comment Add a comment

I have the same issue graham. This feature would solve the issue, though the workaround I found is to set your ipod to shuffle (from within ipod settings), then browse to your playlist and hit the play button. This will randomize the playlist for that session, though it will not save the randomized order.

Inappropriate?thanks for the tip zk7, however i've tried that and it does not work for me unfortunately, its a picky little annoying detail about my car's ipod hookup.
oh well. i'll carry on with itunes until i hear of this being addressed.
