Last.fm Radio in Songbird w/o subscribing?!

I just installed Songbird and it looks very nice...!
Now I noticed this nice feature to listen to Last.fm Radio directly in Songbird. However, it asks me to subscribe to Last.fm. But since I live in Germany and Last.fm Radio is free here, I wonder whether there is a way to get Last.fm Radio in Songbird without subscribing and hence paying. (to make things clear: I have a Last.fm Account and the Scrobbler works fine, I am just not a paying subscriber)

Inappropriate?something is not right with this at all. I can listen to last.fm radio using rthymbox a linux music player with no problem but songbird is briging up a subscription page when trying to listen to last.fm radio. What gives. Why is rthymbox able to play last.fm radio without subscribing but songbird cannot?
