Last.FM radio stream freezes Songbird
I searched and search on here and don't see this reported. When I stream Last.FM user station/radio (i.e. recommended tracks) Songbird crashes/stops responding/freezes and has to be closed after a few songs or if I skip/change songs/tracks.
Windows 7 beta, Songbird Version: 1.2.0a, Build 1065 (20090424012031)
Note this happened on 1.1 but seemed to freeze up faster than it does on the newer build you guys are doing so something right or heading in the right direction but it is still going on.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem...I'm using Windows XP Pro, Version: Songbird 1.1.2, Build 1042 (20090331142126). The player indicates "Loading Last.fm station...". Songbird doesn't crash but just doesn't start playing Last.fm radio. I can switch to my library and start playing my own music...

Inappropriate?Same problem of Johan. Player indicats "Loading Last.fm station.." but never starts playing. Program doesn't freeze and i can switch to my library or a shoutcast radio and start playing any other music.
This issue started 2-3 days ago and never happened before :(

Inappropriate?Same with me, Songbird doesn't crash, but isn't able to load any Last.fm Station. It just says "Loading Last.fm Station", but nothing happened.
I also tried switching off my Online Armor Firewall, which didn't make any difference.
Happened out of the blue.
Help!

Inappropriate?Yes, I'm having the same problem. It will play 2 songs from Last.FM radio then freeze.

Inappropriate?I've actually had Last.fm stall for me during playback when I skip a song or change stations as well and I couldn't find a bug logged about it yet, so I wrote one. To track the comments on this work item:
1. Go to the "people" box in the upper right hand corner of bug # 16527;
2. Add your email in the "add cc" box;
3. Scroll down and hit commit.
If you don't have a free bugzilla account, signing up is quick and easy and will allow you to share your feedback directly with the development team. -
It's not the same problem. In my case, Songbird NEVER plays any LastFM stream. It's the same on a Windows and a MacOSX installation, and the problem started the same day on all machines.. maybe it's my LastFM account? I'll try to use another and report here.. -
Inappropriate?I figured out what's happened.
Some days ago i received a mail:
Hi XXXX,
Your free trial to Last.fm Radio is about to end. If you're enjoying it, why not
subscribe for only €3.00/month and continue listening to non-stop personalised
radio.

Best Regards,
The Last.fm Team
So probably here it's why i can't listen any more to LastFM station.. :|
I’m undecided

Ahh, yes your issue is separate, and a bummer to boot. The bug I filed is for those of us who can steam Last.fm but just experience stalls when we change tracks or stations. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem as kofm... That's bad... i didn't know that it was a 30 days trial for listening to last.fm radio.... I din't receive a email but i looked into my account and within the radio section i got the same message as kofm. Anyway... my questions is answered now. No more last.fm radio listening with songbird 4me...
I’m disappointed...

Inappropriate?Mine was working yesterday and I had to reinstall my OS and since them I am having the same problem. I live in the US where I don't have to subscribe for last.fm.
I’m frustrated

Last.FM no longer works with 3rd party apps (like Songbird). So sad. More info here: http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t... -
Actually I have it working in the latest Rhythmbox (as I use Ubuntu on my desktop and notebook). Hopefully last.fm won't see this and block Rhythmbox.
