less CPU time with photo slide show function of mashTape off
it would use less CPU if the photo slide show function of mashTape is stopped or paused when not focused or when songbird is minimized.

Inappropriate?Well, it already uses less CPU on minimize (I guess because the Photos are not rendered anymore).
