Library not recognising certain MP3 files
Started using songbird recently (4 weeks). just noticed that all (except 2) MP3 tracks from one artist are not recognised in Songbird (about 60 total). All other applications recognise these tracks fine.
Files are mature, i.e. I've been using them fine in various applications in Wins & Ubuntu for years.

Inappropriate?Should have added more data; Files are generally 160kbps. 44khz.
The big problem here is: how do I know other MP3 aren't being displayed until/unless I notice by accident? I store my mp3s by artist/album folders. So I could do a count of all folders and compare to the library count. But I shouldn't have to do this. It's never happened in any other music app that I ever noticed.
I've committed to Songbird for the last few weeks as I believe it has the greatest potential in Linux, but there have been a few real problems like this.
(also, crashing, tag editing, addon problems, basic functionality issues) .
Right now this is the most serious issue.

Inappropriate?G'day, might be worth posting the files to songbird bugzilla (ensure you read the posting guidelines first). In a case I saw, the mp3's didn't play because they were actually renamed WMA's that were designed to pop open a link to a trojan. It was decided not to support the files for that reason.

There are still some weird issues occasionally, but honestly, Songbird is the fastest evolving player out at the moment. 1.0 to 1.1 was a massive leap, and next release is only 2 months off. After CDripping and the other major features are added in 2 months, there will probably be a lot more time to work on stability too. However, for me, I don't recall any instances where 1.1 has crashed. 1.0 did all the time, but many problems with 1.1 seem related to dodgy extensions/feathers people have found.
