M3U import of playlists only without importing the files into the Library?
How can I import M3U Playlists (Winamp) without importing the MP3s too?
It's really nervy: When I import a Playlist made with Winamp, Songbird imports all the files into its media library and I have double entries although the MP3s are in the same directory. I don't like to work around this issue all the time with the Exorcist, deleting duplicate entries.
How can I prevent Songbird from importing the MP3s into the Library ???

Inappropriate?I have this exact same issue. Exorcist doesn't help either, as that mysteriously culls tracks from my playlist but leaves about 8 from the 109 in there...
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I have an EXTENSIVE music library and a whole lot of playlists, so I really don't want to go back and delete every extra copy. I hate it because it makes copies for each time I use a song in a different playlist. D: I like Songbird but this is really annoying. If there's no fix, I'm going to consider uninstalling :'(

Inappropriate?I agree, it is rather annoying. It also did it to my iPod - I dragged a playlist to the iPod and instead of simply copying the playlist it also uploaded all of the files, which were already there. I can see importing files that don't exist into the library but it shouldn't re-add files that do exist.

Inappropriate?Sigh, all I want is a music player for OSX that more or less mimics winamp/xmms' ability to deal logically with m3u/scpls playlists. Songbird is so close, yet so far.

Inappropriate?Bug 14096 is the bug open for this issue, it might get fixed in the next version.

Inappropriate?I completely agree.. perfect software bad integration with m3u... I which I could click on my gnump3d generated playlists (m3u) and enqueue in Songbird... it's giving me an *acid* time!
