Managed mode sucks and should be off by default
Fucking managed mode - can't believe people think that shit is cool -
1. fucks with assorted music folders without asking
2. integrates other drive's media without prompt,
3. organizes by metadata under the assumption that ID tags are accurate.
And if you prompt for managed mode to be turned on, give a real description of what it does - this will rename folders and move shit around in a way you might not like.
Thanks

Inappropriate? It was off by default for me. on all of my profiles. If you read the blog or email songbird sent out it told you what manage mode did and you wouldn't feel so upset.
Also, just as a courtesy. saying 'thank you' right after using several unneeded bad words is pointless. Try looking a bit more professional? just my opinion.

Inappropriate? It was off for me.. even when I turned it on (to use preview) it didn't move anything around because I hadn't told it to yet..
also just for your own sake you can tell someone to go to hell and they'll be packing for the trip as long as you say it nicely - no need to be vulgar.
and why wouldn't your id3 tags be accurate? i mean, you obviously care what your folder structure is like and that's under the hood whilst your tags are the actual information..
I’m amused

Inappropriate?it is off by default.
And if you trust more your folder structure or your filenames, just retag all your library based on that. Then you will be able to use managed folder without harm. Plenty of soft will do that for you, inlcuding Sonbird and the Tagger extension.

Inappropriate? Please avoid using profanity, it doesn't make you sound intelligent or help you prove your point. (Hence the title change)
If you are having trouble with managed mode you can turn it off, otherwise filing bug reports can help the Songbird team fix any problems you're having with it.

Inappropriate?Yes, please avoid offending anyone if there is absolutely no reason... At least same happened to me. I never used managed mode in iTunes and accidently activated it while using my personal (not testing purpose) profile. I KNEW WHAT WOULD AND FINALLY HAS HAPPENED BECAUSE IT'S WRITTEN EVERYWHERE POSSIBLE. Now i have the same work in front of me - Rearranging everything as i want it to be. But there are a lot of people which used to organize their libraryin managed mode and they are all happy. So both of us belong to the people who activated a feature by accident. No fun. But our fault ;-)

Inappropriate?Regardless of the profanity used I agree with the original poster that managed mode should give a warning as to what it will do to your folders. I received no email regarding this matter that I can recall, nor do I read the blog. I was attempting to adjust my "watched folders" and I assumed Manage Music was the ticket. At no point when I turned it on did Songbird tell me what it was about to do to my folders. iTunes did the same thing to me once and I stopped using their product for a long time because of it. People who aren't regularly keeping tabs on new developments with Songbird will be taken by surprise and so a simple warning of what the outcome will be of turning Managed Music on would be greatly appreciated!
I’m annoyed

Inappropriate? The problem is being taken care of: Songbird 1.3 will include basic warnings, and Songbird 1.4 will ship with a comprehensive rehaul of this matter, with clear explanation.
