I have a network harddisk. This harddisk has a media server service. You can reach this service via network, itunes or windows media player. Is there a way to reach it from with in Songbird?

Inappropriate? If you map the network drive locally via file sharing, you should be able to scan it into your Songbird media library.

Inappropriate? That's a silly limitation. It'd be great to make a connection directly through the network without mapping the drive. using //maxtor/public/music...
I’m disappointed

Inappropriate?I'm running Ubuntu, but my media is attached to an XP box. I can see the media in Ubuntu, but not from Songbird running on it. Whazzup?
I’m confused

Inappropriate?I"m having the same problem, Running Ubuntu 8.1 and songbird can't add media from my xp box that i'm networked to through samba. Rythmbox doesn't have any problems with reading the network drives when I mount them but Songbird wont even let me add the network media. Please fix this issues asap.I like Songbird better but I'm not using it in favor of rythmbox because 90% of my music is on a different computer.
