Mediacore Error: Songbird won't play music
I have installed songbird in fedora 10 and I have no trouble opening it but it won't play my ipod (i don't have any music on the disk). Here's the error message:
Mediacore Error
Songbird has encountered the following media core error:
Internal data flow error.
And then I have to click "Stop Playback". Any clues on that? Thanks.

Inappropriate?bump
Ditto got the same error. Just updated from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10.
Argh first missing album art and now this.... I want to love songbird.. but its getting harder...
I’m confused

Inappropriate?Have this problem to on Linux Mint 6, based on Ubuntu 8.10.
V. 1.0 of Songbird. -
Inappropriate?I am also getting this error using Fedora 10.
The strange thing is, I had it working well, but then reinstalled the OS and songbird and it would no longer play any music.
I’m nonplussed

Inappropriate?I seem to have fixed this problem on Fedora 10 by installing the GStreamer 'ugly' packages.
These packages have all the proprietary codecs (hence the label 'ugly')
I’m relieved

Inappropriate?I also have this problem on fedora 10 and installing gstreamer did not work.

Inappropriate?I am having the same issue on two separate systems. One is running Ubuntu 8.10 and the other is running Vista. Any help would be appreciated.

Inappropriate?I'm having same issue; error console reports:
Error: GStreamer error: Internal data flow error. Additional information: gstbasesrc.c(2234): gst_base_src_loop (): /GstPlayBin2:player/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin5/GstFileSrc:source:
streaming task paused, reason not-linked (-1)
..tested gstreamer:
gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri="file:///path/to/music.mp3"
and gstreamer plays fine..
"If your media plays with gst-launch and not Songbird, you may have encountered a Songbird bug"

..any ideas??
I'm using PCLinuxOS
