Memory Usage (Vista x86)
It would be nice if we can somehow reduce memory usage (very seriously I think this should be the main priority). Currently, I only have ~5500 mp3's in my library and I'm currently streaming from shoutcast.
Memory using (windows vista x86) 154mb working set, 500mb virtual. That is A LOT of memory use to play mp3's or stream music.
Processor utilization seems fine. about 2-5% every 5-7 seconds in process explorer.
I run this on a core2 duo 2.3ghz with 3g mem. In songbird's current state, I don't think it will or can run smoothly on the average computer which is usually 2ghz single core and 512 to 1gb of memory.

Inappropriate?Hi daniel,
Since Songbird sees that you have a pretty good system and a good amount of RAM, it is going to allocate more memory to itself.
On a lower scale computer, it will not be as high as yours.
You can try Tuning Songbird's Memory Usage for your system if you would like to see it use less resources.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? And keep in mind all the performance and memory fixes that come with every release. Here are the current ones for Isan (1.2)
