Metadata correct in iTunes and in Windows but not in Songbird
I'm running Windows Vista and Songbird 1.0.0. I just started using Songbird - switching from iTunes. In iTunes AND in file properties from windows, the track titles, artists, time, album, and genre are listed correctly. However, Songbird simply lists the file name as the title for all but 349 of my files. I have taken care to keep the metadata correct for all 9900 files in my library; how can I fix the metadata display in Songbird?
Also, for many tracks the title, artist, and album appear correct in the player portion of the window (top section) even though they are wrong in the library viewer (main portion of the screen) and when I click Edit Metadata. I tried disabling all of my add-ons and restarting Songbird, but the metadata still seems to be read incorrectly from the files. Any ideas?

Inappropriate?Jared,
It sounds like songbird is having difficulty reading the metadata from your files. What format are they? Is there anything you know of that's different about the 349 files that did work properly?
Can you send me one of the files that doesn't work, so I can investigate? Email it to msmith@songbirdnest.com, or open a bug report at http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com and attach it.
Thanks! Hopefully we'll be able to fix this for the next release. -
Inappropriate?I have this question too. Has there been any resolution? It's very frustrating to not be able to search by artist, album, etc...
I’m frustrated
