MicroPlayer, yea?
There is a simple feature in MediaMonkey that made me choose it over all other media players. They call it 'MicroPlayer'. It basically runs the player without being visible, but can still be controlled easily. If Songbird had a feature similar to that, I'd switch over completely.

Inappropriate?I'm not familiar with the MediaMonkey MicroPlayer but assume it's even less than our Mini Player. Still maybe a step in the right direction? You can access it under the View menu.
