Migrating whole library on another drive
Is possible to move whole library(music files) on another disk without loose any rating playlist etc in songbird ? I think its based on location of files. for example i have C:\MP3\Britney\Somealbum\01 - trackname and i wan to move this and other file from C:\MP3 to XYZ:\MP3. But afrer i expect songbird say : oh no no files found on C:\MP3. Then, is any tool to say songbird "hello tweety i was migrating my all files on another drive, can you fix files path when i say new root path of my files to you ?"

Inappropriate?Hi omgyja,
Currently you can not do that with Songbird.. File Organization Capabilities are coming in Songbird 1.2 (May '09). So stay tuned ;)
I’m excited for the future

Inappropriate? No, its nit about file organisation, but about deleting, movig files. I have watched folder C:\MP3 for any reason i want to move whole folder mp3 to D:\, then watched folder will be "empty" or files cant be played, because they arent in C:\MP3, where database is pointing. Another and main reason is to backup library via Mozbackup tool, where songbird is supported (but still in beta). http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/
I can backup whole songbird profile and move them on another machine, where i have X:\MP3 which contains same files like in C:\MP3 on first machine, but im not able to play them, because db is ponting at C: -
Inappropriate?Well, it is about file organization actually... With the File organization.. you will be able to move those files to the new desired location without losing ratings and data and such... Then you could switch it back to watching that folder..
But for now, you could attempt to edit your "main @ library.songbirdnest.com" library file.. Opening it with a text editor, and changing all the "C:/" to "D:/"
(For the location of those head over here: http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Develope... to see where your profile is located on your OS. It will be in the "Songbird2\Profiles\NUMBERS.default\db" sub folder)
