minimized Songbird constantly comes up in front

I love to hear Music of an online radiostation which I only can get by Web Browser(online streaming). But when I minimize Songbird, it does not stay in the taskbar. After a while the program window comes up in front. And when I leave the window open on the desktop it does not stay in the background. It constantly comes up front....and that gets on my nerves. I also installed "minmize to tray" successfully, thinking that will fix the problem. But it also does not stay in tray.
I use Windows XP Prof SP3.
