Miniplayer in Mac OS menu bar
There are quite a few threads on here about how to improve the mini player. Personally I never it. Maybe it's because I'm a Mac user, I don't know.
What I would love is to have the play/pause and skip/rewind/fast forward buttons in the OS X menu bar. There are a few programs that does this for iTunes, ByteController (www.bytetastic.com) being my favorite. I know that Microsoft MediaPlayer has a similar feature (at least in XP) that places a mini player in the task bar.
Anyway, the main advantage with such a feature, in comparison to the mini player, would be that you don't have to switch between the main player and the mini player since the buttons would be visible all the time. Also the controls would be very easy to access and would steal very little desktop space.
