MKV, VC-1 and MPEG-4/AVC Support! (Would be sweet.)
I know that video support is down the road, but I just thought I'd share an idea so that maybe when it does come along, I can use Songbird as my sole media player. I just want to voice support for the more popular High-Def codecs and containers out there. MKV support is something I would consider almost essential to be a competitive video app, it's a very flexible and useful container format. VC-1 and MPEG-4/AVC are very popular HD video codecs, so supporting them would ensure that Songbird can be used with all the latest and greatest HD video. Just thought I'd put it out there.

Inappropriate?Hi Niophe,
That's a great idea that I couldn't find logged in Bugzilla yet. If you'd like to see it, get some folks to rally behind you, and we'll add it to our to do list; or feel free to log it here to tell the developers what you want directly. Oh the power!

Inappropriate?Hi
recent convert to linux and songbird. Once I loaded all my music into Songbird, it dawned on me that there is no support for MPEG-4 audio. This is a bit of a bummer!!! any news on whether or not this codec will be added/supported in the near future?
