Have you installed this addon here?
It resolves an issue with high bitrates. Just test it and we'll see, what happens.

I installed it but it didn't seem to have solved the problem. A strange thing that happens is that the library still shows incorrect length (probably due to tha fact that the information is stored in a database that's not been updated) and now on the control bar the total playing time of the song takes some time to be updated. It's like Songbird is progressively guessing what the correct time is.

Could you erase your library and re-import it then?

Just hit ctrl+a and delete it.

I erased the entire library and re-imported it. The problem still remains. And the control bar is still guessing...
