MSC not working with XP under a non-admin account?
Before I file a bug for this, has anyone noticed issues with the MSC addon used with XP under a non-administrator account?
I made a test yesterday with Songbird 1.4b and a Samsung phone in MSC mode under such a non-admin account. The device would be recognized, but that's all: nothing could be read (no file, even not the size of the device that appeared as "Samsung xxx ()" instead of the expected "Samsung xxx (1,8Gb)"), and nothing could be written. But no error was fired in the console or wherever.
Giving admin privileges back to the account solved the issue.
Thanks

Inappropriate?klint, I wonder if this is connected/related to Lenny's comment here: http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t...
-
Inappropriate?Not exactly actually.
I have installed Songbird on the same computer using another admin account, then switched to the non-admin account, and just created a new profile with only the MSC addon. There I had the problem with the unsable device (until I gave admin rights back to this last account).
Lenny was talking about the application installation itself (which I did the usual way, under admin rights).

Inappropriate?I tried to sync my Treckstor i.Beat organix 2.0 via MSC under non-admin account, and it failed. But I didn't tried it under an admin account, switched back to FolderSync.
And, of course I'm not sure about user related problems ;) I've no idea of MSC, maybe I did something wrong... ;)
