MTP support for Linux

I'm was hoping to see MTP device support for Linux in the latest release (1.1.1), but when i tried to connect my Creative Zen Sleek Photo, nothing happened. I noticed there was support for these devices in the Windows version, and i was really hoping that it might work.

I really love my music, and Songbird has truly been a revolution for my computer and music experience, but without syncing with my Zen, i cannot take my music out of my house. I'd be excited to see any changes toward this goal, and will be very happy to test further developments. (note: the Windows interface for my device was a total catastrophe, so I'm sure Songbird will easily surpass it) Thanks a ton!!
