Music skips, or drops out while playing
When I play music in Songbird the music skips, or drops out. If I play the same song in MS Media Player there are no skips or drop outs.

@ ALL: As discussed in the GS thread linked above, this is fixed for our next release which should drop next week. If you just can't wait for it, go grab the latest nightly build and tell us what you think!

Inappropriate?Forbin,
What version of Songbird you are using? What operating system you are running?
Have you had this issue using the latest nightly build ? -
Inappropriate?Hey you may want to check out this thread too: http://getsatisfaction.com/songbird/t...

Inappropriate?Happens for me too. The song will hang for a half-second or so and go on
-
Inappropriate?I have this problem too. Music is playing and abruptly is silence, but track is continuing. Ive XP SP3 and have latest stable version
-
Inappropriate?I have this problem too, but it doesn't happen if I use songbird 1.1 beta. But I'd like to use this version...

Inappropriate?I have a similar problem in 1.0 (the regular download) w/ a few addons installed... sometimes, Songbird randomly refuses to play and I have to restart. Other times, it'll start to fast-forward through all the tracks in the middle of my library, and I have to manually stop playback and start a track to break the cycle and get Songbird to start playing songs again
I’m annoyed and sad

I'm having a problem very much the same as this, and I've only downloaded the latest release this week, 7 months after your comment here... just random skipping in all my songs... sometimes bad sometimes not so much... -
Inappropriate?I'm having this same issue. I think it was with the last update that tracks will randomly skip at times. Looking at the system load, I don't see anything too unusual.
I’m irritated.

Inappropriate?By the way, if the problem is related to corrupt MP3's, this was fixed for 1.4.0. On 1.4.0, a corrupt MP3 will no longer skip to the end and to the next song. It seems to correctly pass over the errors (if there aren't too many), and continue playing the song.
