My things wrong with songbird
Some things wrong with songbird:
-Takes way too long to load on startup
- Not enough options are customizable in the preferences
- The song player timeline looks too choppy visually (instead of chunks of a song going by id rather see a nice smooth scrolling indicator)\
- You can't minimize the mini media player
-Some songs just won't play
- There should be a library folder watch that automatically updates the library when you log on

Inappropriate?Thanks for the feedback.
- We've been setting aside a portion of each release to tackle performance related issues like start-up time and performance with large libraries.
- As for the choppy seekbar, I'm not sure there's much we can do there. I'll check with the birdbuilders on that.
- We've got bug 1809 open for minimizing the mini.
- As for songs that don't play, we will be releasing our new media core, GStreamer, in the upcoming 0.7 release. We'll be steadily adding support for codecs going forward. Hopefully we'll be able to play all of your tracks very soon.
- Watch Folders have been high on the list of priorities but won't make 0.7. Look for this feature by the end of the year. -
Inappropriate?I have a more specific idea of what's wrong that makes some songs not play.
It seems that songs with no attributes (track 1 with no album or artist, for example) get counted as duplicates and ignored. I can pick a specific folder, full of only mp3s, and it completely misses all of them, even though they play just fine in Windows Media Player. I'd like to know if there's some other reason that that happens, though.
I’m somewhat frustrated.

Inappropriate?I love everything about Songbird exept that it takes forever to open, and for that reason I may ditch it, I tried it a few months ago & got rid then for the same reason, I had hoped that it would be faster by now but it's still hopeless, unless it improves it will have to go. sorry.
I’m indifferent
