My zen goes black when I try to syncronize, why?
Songbird is a great program for me, because it can syncronize with every mp3-player. Or, at least I thought so. So, here's my problem:
I made a playlist with the songs I wanted on my mp3-player, which is a Creative Zen 8GB. I put my empty Zen in my computer (Windows XP Service Pack 3). It worked fine, except Songbird (the newest version by the way) didn't sync all the songs, about 100 songs of the total 1700 were missing. Hmm, what about trying again, I thought, and de- and attached my Zen again. It registrated the player, but after 5 seconds the player's screen went black, and then nothing happened. And now that happens every time I attach my Zen to my computer and have Songbird open. I even tried to set the player's setting to manual in songbird, attached the player, set the player's settings to automatic syncronizing, and after 5 seconds, it went black. What do I do?
I'm very frustrated because of this, because this was probably the main reason, why I would start using Songbird. Please help!

Inappropriate? We've seen a similar issue to this reported before but unfortunately since the Zen is not an officially supported device any functionality you get is a bonus for now.
That said, improved MTP support is on our radar. Head here for more info on that or to lend a hand. -
Inappropriate? How come it then says "no major issues" on the wiki? I take it as a major issue.
-
Inappropriate? That's based on community testing. If you head to
Bugzilla and file a bug report with STR and it is confirmed in testing, the wiki will be updated. But again as it's not an officially supported device it's not a super high priority.
I’m sorry.
