Need more global hotkeys
Global hotkey support should be expanded to include a lot more than just song/volume controls. Things like lower/raise or set specific song rating and show the song notifier on-demand would be a good start. In general, complete customizability of hotkeys/keyboard for all functions would be a huge plus; of course not all would have to be global, that would be a per-shortcut option. Thanks!

Inappropriate?There are more keyboard shortcuts already implemented in the latest builds at Help->Keyboard Shortcuts.
Complete customizability for all functions sounds great, but that's complicated to make it working across the platforms.
You can file feature suggestions for EACH function(separately) you would like to get implemented in our Bugzilla.

Thanks Boris for the reply. Agree complete customizability is perhaps too complex. I think setting the song rating is a key one, and the ability to show the notifier on demand. Those are 2 global ones I use in winamp all the time (using the toaster plugin). Not sure if plugins in SB can hook into the global hotkey infrastructure or not, I am using birdtitle right now which has a very nice notifier but it only pops when songs start/stop. -
Inappropriate?Nope, currently there are no plugins in Songbird you could create custom hotkeys with.
Setting the song rating and the ability to show notifier on demand probably can be done in form of add-on (similar to Toaster in Winamp).
That would be nice if some of the extension developers could jump on that. -

Inappropriate?1-up on this one. Most important for me would be a show/hide Songbird shortcut - alt-tab just doesn't work with MinTrayR.

Inappropriate?(Being fussy) I'd like a hotkey to change between the 'pure player'/miniplayer and the main player. I like others, like the idea of a 'song notification' on demand hotkey. But as aforementioned I'd rather maintain multi-platform support then make things nice for a single OS.
I should also add, the existing hotkeys are great!
