no audio after playing .avi by mistake

Tried to play a .avi file by mistake and the sound has gone. now there is no audio output with any kind of files (mp3 or any other). what to do ?

Sorry to hear about your trouble. My first suggestion is to head to our
First Aid page. You may need a new profile. If you try that and still no joy, please reply back with your OS and Songbird version and we'll see what we can find.
