Not complete sync Songbird 1.3 Beta 1 with iPod 5 Gen (30 GB)
I have Songbird 1.3 Beta 1, Windows Xp Pro SP3 (x86), iPod Video 30 Gb (5 Gen). No iTunes installed.
When I'm trying to sync my iPod with Songbird I see that SB copies not all of files to my iPod, but tells me that every thing is OK. For example, I have 183 songs but SB copies only 139 or even 125. How I can be sure that SB COMPLETELY syncs with iPod?

Inappropriate?G'day,
Firstly, ensure that the files being copied are usable on the iPod. Flac's and such might not copy,
You may also prefer to use the latest nightly of 1.3, not the beta. A lot has changed. Keep in mind though that there have been murmurs that because of device support issues in 1.3.0, that's what's delaying it. And whilst nobody has said it, there is a growing belief amongst us champs that 1.3 is going to be skipped overall.
The only real reliable way of using your ipod through songbird though is two way sync with iTunes. For me personally, I use winamp for ipod syncing and CD ripping, Songbird for everything else (both use watched folders so its effortless)
Not sure what POTI are planning to do with ipod support in the future honestly. Seeing as they can't legally support the new ipods anyway (or they would probably be breaking DMCA laws), its a bit iffy.. -
Inappropriate?I'm trying to copy only MP3 files, may be there is an issue with their names, a lot of them are in French with special chars.
Also, my iPod has firmware 1.3.
This issue confirmed for my on SB 1.2 (stable), 1.3 beta 1 and 1.4 nightly (build of 22 of August).
I really like SB and wish use it instead of iTunes — big and slow monster (like Nero 9) with QuickTime which I dislike for his interrupting into browsers settings.
Anyway, SB is cool and hope, that we'll it working good with iPods.
I’m happy
