Open add-ons button
Could someone possibly write an add-on that ports or emulates this for firefox?

All it does is provide a button which opens the add-on manager. I use it all the time and I expect other people do if they're messing around with add-ons all the time. I suppose Songbird still needs a redesigned add-on manager but that's already been noted.
