Pidgin "Now Playing" for Songbird
I think you guys should work with the Pidgin IM team in order to create a solid "Now Playing" im status that doesn't crash pidgin or songbird (The musictracker plugin often breaks iTunes). I figured since you are doing last.fm integration a pidgin plugin for now playing would be a good idea.
I’m happy (if you guys consider my idea ;P).

We have the same feature suggestion already filed in our bug tracking system.

Inappropriate?There's a new add-on that gives Songbird an MPRIS interface http://addons.songbirdnest.com/addon/...
In theory this should allow us to use MPRIS plugins in Pidgin to update messenger status with track details. I've not had any luck doing this yet but thought I'd mention it in case anyone else wants to try.
