playlist folders
in itunes you can create folders and store multiply playlists in them. and also expand and minimize all playlists in the folder.
eg:
playlists
-rock
- - rock playlist 1
- - playlist 2
- pop
- - playlist 1
- - playlist 2
this should be a feature in songbird
eg:
playlists
-rock

- pop

Inappropriate? That's a popular feature request but it has not been implemented yet. I added your inquiry (and me toos!) to the bug report.

Inappropriate?Hi!
I love Songbird.
But I seriously need playlist folders (or I will drown in my own organisation...or...lack thereof. Whatever.) — fortuitously, I'm kind of a computer whisperer (...which is kind of a retarded way of saying I have a knack for tinkering with applications till they do what I want them to...um. In spite of being a Classics major!) and am totally down with helping develop this particular feature for Songbird. If any of you dev folk would let me know what work's already been done, if any, so that I don't spend time doing something that's already been done — then I'd be happy to flounce on off to whip up an add-on or something along those lines that'd add folder functionality to the Great Tweet.
(Yeah, I know I'm writing stupid all over this post, but I haven't slept in three days, so bugger’ffgrumblegrumphl.)
I’m terribly terribly sleep deprived yo

Inappropriate?Organising Playlists in Folders would be great - including to export/copy the physical files by simply selecting a playlist or the tracks inside a playlist and dropping it into a Folder in the MacFinder or WinExplorer.
Would be a great and quick Method (i.g. for DJ's) to grab a bunch of tracks on to a USB-Stick for a party or to the in the car-stereo.
Kind regards - eljot

Inappropriate?eljot, that's exactly what I'm looking for! I just switched to mac and feel a great need of an adequate player which has at least similar features as winamp has.
I really like songbird, but i wish i wouldn't be forced to work with metatags...
