Playlist Options
One thing I have never seen any other media player do is provide custom options for playlists. Now, I know about smart lists, that is not what I am talking about, they work great for getting dynamic playlists, but I am talking about a specifically chosen playlist with specific options.
For example, you have a playlist where you manually selected all the songs (normal playlist behavior), but every time you use that playlist you want it to be played shuffled. The option would be connected to the playlist. Other options could be added as well, such as "repeat", "cross fade" (when implemented), etc.
This has to do with click-counting. For me to use a playlist of this nature I have to execute the playlist and set the options (2 or more clicks). If I could pre-configure a playlist with options I could just execute the playlist (1 click).

Inappropriate?Just thought of something else.. if you wanted to take this a step further (but it may be out of the project scope), the inclusion of a way to take samples from music in songbird (set a start position and end position on a specific track in a playlist) would allow for the creation of something new.
Taking this idea even further: Having the ability to take those samples and overlap, speed up, and slow down to create a new track. After combining, have the ability to export it as an MP3.
(Just throwing ideas out there... way out there... left field most likely)
