Podcast subscriptions won't load
I just downloaded 1.0 and this looks really promising. But so far no luck with podcast subscriptions. I added new subscriptions for each of the following feeds:

http://www.democracynow.org/podcast.xml
But absolutely nothing shows up when I select the subscription from the sidebar. The main panel is completely empty. I right-click the subscription and "update" with no result.
(No errors show up in the error console.)
Can anyone else load these? Anyone having similar problems?

Inappropriate?Similar problems here. I have a weak internet connection - and found that Miro works best, but if that isn't working then Amarok or Rhythmbox will pick up the thread.

Inappropriate?me too. What's more frustrating is that you do not get any kind of errors. Strangely some feeds do work (like http://librivox.org/podcast.xml).

Inappropriate?There is a slight workaround (see number 2). However, this is hardly a solution.
Are there any add-ons that offer podcasting?

Inappropriate?@diafygi: there are not currently any add-ons pertaining to podcasting, but I agree that would be an ideal solution to some of the pains expressed here.

Inappropriate?i just started to whether i could leave itunes; ipod is know music works but what about podcast. I added the podcast rss feed page of ccc.de but nothing happened within songbird. nevertheless great work done keep on going u'll beat apple. :D

I don't think it's planned right now, but after getting the survey yesterday they were asking if we wish to get it done. I think they will add it to the upcoming features.

Inappropriate?Let's hope the next release in April gets this feature right. Be lovely to have consolidated podcast/feeds menu. To summarize what's available for listening. I'm optimisitic now this is being worked on. After CD-Ripping this is the next big thing.

Who says it's being worked on? I don't see Podcast/subscription work mentioned anywhere on the songbird roadmap. -
No mention of it in the roadmap or schedule for Isan, but the release schedule for Jackson 5 has it listed (see http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Releases... ). Pretty early to tell if this is a guaranteed priority, but I sure hope it makes that release.

Inappropriate?I lost interest - gpodder has 'resume' and is rapidly developing into an excellent killer app - and Miro is beautiful for managing downloads of all kinds. Amarok has excellent advanced features for managing music - Songbird is interesting, but never got more than a few quick screenings on my monitor.
