Possible to sync video files to MTP via Songbird?

I am trying to sync music and video on a Creative Zen via MTP device support (Windows 7 RC1). The trouble is songbird doesn't play, and therefore doesn't sync my video files. I don't reallly want it to play them, but after 2 weeks of WMP hell, I need something to sync em (cmd cant even see mtp drives, neither can any scripting language i've tried :( ). So the goal is - sync video files (extension avi/mp4/mpeg4/mkv/wmp) via songbird, even if it won't play them. Its find if, directory-wise they end up under music->video. Is this possible? (coding, scripting, etc. so long as its not too overboard is no problem).

---- Thats the end of my request/question... Below you will find something I found particularly offensive when trying to get this to work the M$ way. In regards to if you can disable auto-conversion before transferring video files via WMP-----

From M$:

"Can I turn conversion off"

For some older devices, it is possible to turn conversion off. However, it is not possible to do so for a device that supports the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), because an MTP device accurately reports to the Player whether conversion is required to ensure that you can play files on the device. If you do have a device for which you can turn conversion off, keep in mind that doing so may prevent the device from being able to play files or may cause the device to behave unexpectedly if you sync files that exceed the device's capabilities. For these reasons, you should typically allow files to be converted before sync.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats right, MTP device "accurately reports" that it needs to convert files (that play fine without conversion), so you do not have the option to turn it off. Unfortunately this auto-conversion is breaking my videos' subtitles, which are not in my native language, and I can no longer view them on my zen. Thanks M$ for excluding one checkbox.
