problem determining what media change in watchfolder
On every Songbird Startup, no matters if there is changed tracks or not, always a dialog is displayed: "There was a problem determining what media changed in your library since the last Songbird launch. Would you like Songbird to rescan your watch folder"

Inappropriate?Hi Jomaweb
What Songbird Verison and Build are you running (Help --> About)?
Is the "Manage Media" feature already implemented (Extras--> Settings --> Media Import)?

I’m unsure

Inappropriate?Version: Songbird 1.1.2, Build 1042 (20090331141711)
I can't see extras. Is it a new feature?
Thanks for answering. -
Inappropriate?Awww, sorry. It's called "Tools".
Sorry, i'm on a German System...
What folder do you have specified in your watchfolder preferences? Is it a Network drive? Does it exist? -
Inappropriate?I have an nfs folder. It does exist and I have rwx permissions. If I use nautilus and Totem media player (linux), I can play every single song.
However Songbird shows that error and many songs are missing in library.
It used to work with previous songbird releases (I think it worked with 1.1), my network config hasn't changed at all.
Thanks. -
Watching folders on Remote drives (on linux especially) is not supported yet. Keep an eye on Bug 15536, as it is shooting for an Isan(the next release) fix, I'm not sure if the devs will be able to actually get it fully ''working'', but hopefully that error goes away.. -
Inappropriate?Ok. Sounds like a bug to me. Maybe you want to File a Bug. If you don't have a Bugzilla account, you can easily create one.
