Put which Songbird version supports an add on please
I've noticed some add on devs not always put an info on which Songbird version an add on is for.
How can we know which add on version is supported by actually used Songbird? There should be an appropriate field on an add on site.

Inappropriate? The new add-on site automatically detects the version of Songbird you're using and will only display add-ons that are compatible with your version.

Good Reply. I also discovered there's a "history" section you can see all the changes in a addon the devs committed.
It tells about version compatibiity too -
Inappropriate?I would take this one step further and have add-ons that are only for specific platforms not show up if you're not on that platform. For example, the MTP add-on is Windows-only. I didn't know this at first, so I installed the latest nightly build in Ubuntu thinking I could finally get my mom's MP3 player to sync with Songbird. Not only were most of my add-ons incompatible with the new version, but when I went to the MTP add-on page to install it, the install button was still grayed out, with no indication why. I still had the .deb file for 1.2, so I managed to get all my add-ons back, but the point is that either there should have been some explanation as to why the add-on couldn't be installed or I shouldn't have been able to see that add-on since I wasn't using Windows.

Inappropriate?Woop woop, I think generally in life there's a lot to learn from AMO, people. Especially the funky redesign. Songbird add on collections, anyone?

I definitely agree. I think Mozilla's add-on site is greatly improving how easy it is for users to use and share add-ons. I would like to like to see something like collections, so that we can easily share our add-ons with friends or find them again in one place if we need to reinstall Songbird on another computer.
