Rename files issue with Manage Music
The Rename Files check box in Manage Music seems to be ignored by Preview.
Un-checking the option should mean the files are moved but not renamed, but preview does not show this.

I can't reproduce this.. Can you give me the exact steps you took to get that Preview dialog to show changes when unchecking the "Rename Files As:" box.. Maybe some of your media still had folder changes to take place? -

I simply opened Songbird, selected Tools -> Options - Manage Music
Then turned on Manage Music and deselected the Rename Files option.
Finally pressed preview to get
I've just bitten the bullet and ran with the above settings, and the files were not renamed, so it would seem only the Preview dialog box is wrong.

Oops, scratch that last part, it is renaming the files
01. take on me.mp3 is changing to 01. Take On Me.mp3. As windows treats these the same it seems Songbird is renaming the old file to 01. take on me-1.mp3

When you say renaming the old.. do mean the original files in g:\media or files in C:\...\Songbird Music? Are there two Take on Me's? is it happening with all the files? -
Inappropriate?Yes it would seem that we are treating case difference as a rename, this is bad and should have a bug filed against it.

Inappropriate?Here's the Bug on the preview dialog: Bug 16877
It only occurs right after you enable managed mode thats why i initially couldnt reproduce it..
