repairing metadata

when I click get album art and it shows a progress bar, it shows some tracks with wierd and illegible characters in it ranging from "?????? ????" to "?" as well as japanese characters for ghost in the shell tracks.Is there:
1.A way for songbird to automatically correct metadata for all tracks like in WMP12 built into windows 7
and
2.Can album art setting be applied to all tracks instead of leaving things blank
