You can copy files from your machine to the device but not from the device to hard drive. -
Inappropriate?I need to rip to my computer too. Things I've bought from iTunes are lost (due to damn computer virus/clash??) except for those that are on my iPod.

Inappropriate?Enable viewing of hidden folders in control panel then copy your music from the music folder in the now visible ipod control folder on your device for me its L:\iPod_Control\Music
