seriously in need of id3v2 supports
i really really hope songbird for mac soon natively supports id3v2. there seems to be no addon for the newer versions. (i am using songbird 0.7 on a mac)

i'm using Mac OS X 10.5.4 on an Intel Mac. The problem is, that Songbird doesn't seem to be capable of reading id3v2 tags. there used to be an addon for this (http://addons.songbirdnest.com/addon/...) but this plugin doesn't work with the new songbird version (0.7) anymore.

Inappropriate?I would also like this very much. Afaik, ID3v1 doesn't support album covers, and I've stored most of my album covers in ID3v2-tags, so my library is not as pretty as it used to be before my switching to Songbird. Great app otherwise, though.

Inappropriate?Which of the ID3 Tags Fields does Songbird actually read currently?
As far as I understand there is support for at least some of the fields specified in ID3v2 4.0.
I count 11 fields in the Meta Editor which are equivalent to those in ID3.
I'm unsure of Rating resembling maybe Popularimeter Field, CD# and Album Artist.
Album Art is not used for sure even though there is such a function in songbird and most of the over 70 Fields described in the Standard isn't even shown anywhere in the Player.
Any plans for adding at least some of the more common ones in future releases?
