Skipping every second track in playlist
Hi. Using Songbird 1,1-1018. When playing in the library playlist and the song is ending, the next track is not played, but it jumps to over the next and plays the second next song. ALWAYS! I have tried reinstall, no help. Vista x64.

Inappropriate?Just wondering if we have the same thing, so... Does it play the skipped song if you double click it a couple of times, does it skip all song or particular ones, and does it skip songs less when you run less applications?
Obviously this is what mine does, and if we have the same issue then we could look for things in common, since this seems to be a bit of an obscure issue.
Oh, and also, do you get this error message once a skip?
Error: GStreamer error: Internal data flow error. Additional information: gstbasesrc.c(2240): gst_base_src_loop (): /player/uridecodebin121/source:
streaming task paused, reason not-negotiated (-4)

Hi Jens. My player skips EVERY second song. If I start at song nr. 1 it plays nr. 3, 5, 7 and so on. If I start at song nr. 2. it plays nr. 4, 6, 8 and so on. The problem is not responsive it general computer/ application load.
I am getting the following error is the error console:
Error: GStreamer error: Internal data flow error. Additional information: gstbasesrc.c(2240): gst_base_src_loop (): /player/uridecodebin1/source:

Inappropriate?I have exactly the same Problem and Error (GStreamer error: Internal data flow error). It's really frustrating. Every 2nd or 3rd song is skipped.
I'm using 1.1.1 on XP SP3, but have the same problem in the latest nightly, too. Fresh profiles and fresh installs. :-(
@brint: to check if you have this GStreamer error: type "about:config" in the address-bar, and make sure the value "songbird.mediacore.error.dontshowme" is set to "false". Or check the Error Console.
I once clicked the error message away, and then I was wondering why I still had the problem but no error message, until I remembered I clicked this "don't show me any more errors" checkbox.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hey, I have the same problem since the first betas of 1.1.1.
You guys might want one to join the club and vote for this bug:

Maybe this helps to speed up the fixing. -
I have just added my support to bug:15232 -
Inappropriate?I'm rather curious about this issue as well. I am running two instances of Songbird: One on my laptop (Vista x32, runs perfectly) and one on my desktop (Xp SP3 x32, Skips every other song and wont play certain songs all together at certain times)
I have gotten the same error messages that everyone above has.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?i have the same problem with mp3 files. i noticed that i can read m4a files without this annoying skipping tracks bug (I use XP SP3).

Inappropriate?I had this problem but i installed a few things and it seems to have solved it.
Bit of background, my system was XP Stripped to the bone (think of it as XP lite, or XP -everything else)
Anyway I installed this LAME codec (despite the name its pretty good) and WMLite
http://www.free-codecs.com/LAME_ACM_C...
http://www.free-codecs.com/Windows_Me...
Also somone else suggested WMtools, and supplyed this link with ftp mirrors
http://www.filewatcher.com/m/wmtools....
I did all 3 of these and tryed again and I seem to be able to play from the library without tracks skipping.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Thank you Recondite for your explanation but I can't install Lame ACM.
When I right click on .inf, I don't have option "install"
Do you know how I can resolve my problem?
I’m undecided

Make sure you are running on an account with administrator privilages, you can force the default administrator account to run by default in safe mode (press F8 when you reboot untill a screen comes up where you can chose safe mode). That is just one way to do it though, should work by default but if its been set up otherwise it may not. -
Thank for your response. I try to running computer in safe mode as an administrator but it does'nt work. I did'nt see "Install" when I right click on the .inf. :(
I have try this tip too : http://windowsitpro.com/article/artic...
but no succes :(
