Song Playback has Format or Coding Issues
So, frequently, but without obvious pattern, some songs simply go silent during playback. One example is an m4p file which generally play normally for about 30 to 40 seconds and then stops making noise. The bar showing the position is the song is still working though, it is movable and seems to show an accurate amount of time passing. A few times I've tried moving the slide to a different position in the song, past the point where it frequently goes silent, and the file plays normally. Also, I'm not entirely sure that this is solely related to m4p files by the way, that's just one that I'm sure does this. I really like the options and capabilities in Songbird and hope that this has some sort of simplistic solution.

Inappropriate?Hi tatsu,
So that I can assist you, please let me know:
1) what version of Songbird you are using; and
2) what operating system you are using.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?Thank you, that was very prompt. So, here's what I think you're asking for:
Songbird Version: Songbird 1.0.0, Build 860 (20081124135419)
My OS:
Microsoft XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3
On a:
Dell latitude D810 with a Pentium M at 2.13 GHz and 1.06 GHz of 1 GB of ram
with a Sigma Tel C-Major Audio something
Sorry, I don't actually have a clear idea of what the Sigma Tel C-Major Audio thing is, but I'd "guess" that it's the hardware for the analog sound output
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I am also having the same problem with the m4p format.
Running the same build of Songbird, and XP Media Centre Edition -
Inappropriate? Is there any ideas about what may be causing this or is there any more information you need?
I’m anxious
