Song ratings didn't carry over into Songbird. Help?
Hi, i just switched from windows media player to MediaMonkey, but that didn't work for me, so i switched to Songbird. Seems to be great so far, but the first major drawback i noticed is that all my song ratings were gone! I'd rather not re-rate my whole collection, and i figured that the previous ratings were already stored in the files somehow, since it carried over from WMP to MM. Anyways, any help would be appreciated, maybe i need a plug-in or something? Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hey Gaelen,
The best way to do that is to make a playlist for each rating group you have - 5 stars, 4 stars, 3 stars, 2 stars, 1 stars, 0 stars.
WMP should store your playlists in "USER/Music/Playlists" (on Vista/7) but they are in .wpl files - and you need them in .m3u's. So (I believe) you can put those playlist's in WMP's Now Playing List, Then go to "File > Save Now playing list as..." and save each playlist (0-5 star) as an .m3u.
Then import them into Songbird one playlist at a time, mass rating them with the appropriate rating between each import..

I tried this. Everything looked good until I was done and went to the main library screen. There were two of every song - one rated, one not. I could not figure out how to get rid of the unrated songs. I was worried that if I removed them, they would be deleted from the disk.
To recover, I used the profile manager but now I'm back to no ratings.
