songbird 0.7 crashes ubuntu 8.04 -- every time
Every time I run Songbird under Ubuntu 8.04, something crashes that freezes up my entire system, requiring a hard reset of my system.
Things seem to be working great for a while -- maybe 10 or 15 minutes, then the song playing gets "stuck" (digital repeating, like when a cd player gets stuck), and i lose all mouse & keyboard control. Resetting the system is the only way to recover.
This is on a clean install of Songbird, no additional addons installed.
Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Inappropriate?Hmmm, I found this bug in older versions, but nothing regarding 0.7.
If you are curious and want some fun reading check out
these bugs. Lemme know if any of that hits home.
You can also get the latest nightly build here and give that a shot.
I’m hopeful it's been fixed in a newer version

Inappropriate? Also I'm redirecting you here to help get this conversation going!

Inappropriate?Thanks, Laura,
The other bugs you pointed me to don't seem quite the same. Songbird opens fine, and can sometimes get through half an album before taking down my system.
I'm downloading the latest nightly now, and will give it a shot.
I’m crossing my fingers that the nightly works...
