I am running on Windows XP SP2. My Zen V Plus is working with WMP 11.
This is the first time I have been trying Songbird.

G'day, Songbird 0.7 is ancient.. Just wondering which version you are using.
The developers have added significant improvements to MSC/MTP support in Songbird 1.4.0 (which is being hopefully released soon) -

Inappropriate?Did you install the MTP plugin too? The support added is quite new, so its possible unfortunately :( Sucks, but it normally takes a release or so for support to be polished a bit.

Inappropriate?Now this thingy is working... Version 1.2 and addon (MTP Device Support 1.0.14.1146) did the trick
now it works like a charm.... (Zen X-fi) that is
