songbird 1.0 mac os x high cpu usage
lastest songbird, 1.0 mac os x, is killing my cpu. it seems to be 10 - 30% playing tunes off my ipod. but everything else just hits go slow.
im using macbook air (1st gen), 1.8ghz, ssd.
aside from that, songbird is awesome, love the change of logo ;)

Inappropriate?i am also having this problem. mac pro 2 x 2.66ghz with my ipod attached.
CPU was at 40-50% while ipod was connected. it appeared to be trying to sync. once cancelled, CPU dropped to 3%.

Inappropriate?This is happening in Leopard (my Macbook with C2D 2.1 GHz and 2 GB RAM) and Ubuntu 8.10 (my desktop with Athlon64 X2 5400+ and 3GB RAM). 30% CPU usage just to play a MP3 file?

Inappropriate?I disabled mashtape, and CPU is now below 10%. Even 7-10% is a considerable amount, it should be below 5%.

Inappropriate?Had the same problem with Macbook pro and Songbird 1.1.2. As sandrorib mentionned, disabling Mashtape solved the problem. So the problem is with mashtape addon.
