Songbird 1.2 and Last.fm authentication BROKEN

since I updated the plugin there comes error with the auhenticiation

I'd rather not downgrade...that's like going back to Windows 98 if something in XP doesn't work.

And I'd rather not run an SVN or repository version...official fixes only before I mark this as resolved.

Could you guys hop into Bug 17028, and tell stevel your last.fm username if you could (or email it to him directly)...

I deleted my profile folder and restarted the app. Call it drastic but it fixed the problem.

It's time that's causing this...I realized that I didn't have ntp working on that box and time had crept by 35 minutes. Once I installed and updated, it started working for me.

I don't have any time related problem (Mac OS X already NTP synched...), and still can't login on a fresh install (latest public songbird and last.fm plugin), with the BADAUTH error show on the console.

my lastfm username is karmak23 it if matters...

i received a "text/rui-list decoder plugin ... not installed" error when trying to play the latest last.fm plugin in the latest version of Songbird

listening to last.fm tho in Firefox tho.

anyway to check what version of flash is installed in Songbird?

Could the ones that are still experience this problem tell me (here or in the Bug report) where you are located... What country you reside in?

same same, mac os x, songbird latest version, last.fm.add-on doesn't scrobble or log in.

1) Please raise your hand ;-)
2) Double check to make sure your computers time is correct
(You might see [last-fm] handshake got not enough lines: ["BADTIME", ""] in the Error Console)
3) Have you changed your password since you got a last.fm account AND/OR is it a "complicated" password with non-alpha/numerical characters?
4) Do you also have Last.fm's official client downloaded/running?

where can i get working stable update for songbird1.2? or it only for 1.3?

i have just installed songbird 1.2 and i have the same problem
i got lastfm client since long time and works perfectly with foobar2000 but with songbird it fails to login

simply password never changed since 1st time

nope. i tried official client with and witout it's the same problem, songbird try to login in without ending

You need to be running a 1.3 build for the last.fm update that fixes the issue. You can either wait for the SB 1.3 release which will probably come this week, or you can download thte latest build from here if your in a hurry ;-)

1.3 doesn't fix the problem for me at all. Now after singing on I have subscribe for last.fm. I live in Southern California, USA and according to last.fm anyone outside of US, UK, and Germany have to subscribe.

ok i have cleaned up all songbird files, even on my profile document settings

and i reinstalled Version: Songbird 1.3.0, Build 1211 (20090730184451) with http://developer.songbirdnest.com/bui... and now it runs :)

Just tired out the nightly build of Songbird 1.3 on a new system and it sill tells to be subscribe for last.fm.

I do downgrade to audioscrobbler-0.4.1.1146 and this work fine

The login bug is fixed in the next songbird version. Just download and install the developer version. When notified about incompatible old plugins, select check for new versions which will include the new last.fm plugin.
